Message from the President

Dear Associates and other Friends of Morrão.

Allow me to thank everyone for their support placed a vote of confidence in us. After the international experience, I realized that first-world countries managed to achieve development with the support of associations, NGOs or that is, with the participation of all citizens in the communities. Because the State alone cannot do it!

The current economic circumstances that the country presents require all of us, attitude, boldness, creativity and fidelity so that we can help local development. With everyone's support, we will face the difficulties that may arise in front of us with new strategies and responsibilities.

Our Association's purpose is the local development of communities, therefore, We adopted the following slogan: “Think Global, Act Local”. We noticed beforehand, that one of the failures of non-development in communities in Angola is the lack of “FOCUS”, projects simultaneously. The Morrao Association has a difference that is its “FOCUS” on Local development.

For this reason, we chose the Morro Bento neighbourhood, located in the Urban District of Samba, Municipality of Luanda as a Pilot Project.

We will continue to look for partners to develop synergies that can help make it possible to carry out the activities/projects. We will continue to establish exchanges, partnerships, alliances, and strategic relationships with the Government, Associations, NGOs, Educational institutions, companies and international entities. The entities with whom we establish partnerships will be essential elements in carrying out our strategic objectives.

Morrao’s vision is “to be the national and international reference association”. In what the Association can help, it will always be there. That is why I invite you to join and support the Morrão Association.
